the guilty now innocent

TNT has set Bill Pullman as the lead in Innocent, a two-hour telefilm based on the book by Scott Turow, a sequel to his bestseller Presumed Innocent. It is the first entry in the network’s recently announced new TNT Tuesday Night Mystery movie franchise slated to launch in November, which will feature six contemporary crime dramas, from true-crime stories to fictional mysteries. Innocent centers on Judge Rusty Sabich (Pullman), who, twenty years after being cleared in the death of his mistress, is charged with the murder of his late wife. The movie is written, directed and executive-produced by Mike Robe (TNT’s Nightmares & Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King). ICM-repped Pullman stars on Starz’s Torchwood.

yet another Harrison Ford connection. but seriously, I wish he’d do The Bill Pullman Show on tv someday. Showtime! or AMC! or FX!

danes. I caught him smile as he took the elevator after the young assistant (who was sickened by him before the show) apologized to him. she had a change of heart after watching him cry during the interview. so it was an act!

oswald danes is a former school teacher, not a career criminal, so the evil would’ve been something he internalized all along. then became a hardened man in prison?, I think.

bp did his sleazy best in the last seduction. on this show, I’m still waiting to be convinced that he’s the character. tune in next week.

is he an alien BFI podcast

Bill Pullman The involvement of a big Hollywood hitter really is an example of how the show has grown in it’s popularity. Speaking to a very jetlagged Bill (who previously starred in Sleepless In Seattle and Independence Day), he talked admiration for Russell T Davies, the rainy weather in Wales, and his dream of appearing someday as an alien in Doctor Who.

future tony nominee(?) hosts a benefit in NY

david shookhoff[4]

Jun 22, 2011

David Shookhoff, Director of Education at Manhattan Theatre Club, was honored by the New York City Arts in Education Roundtable in a benefit held last night at the Park Avenue Armory’s Veterans Room (643 Park Avenue).

The cocktail event, which was recognizing Shookhoff as outgoing founding chair of the roundtable, was presented by The Board of Directors of the New York City Arts in Education Roundtable and event host Bill Pullman. Pullman and Shookhoff have a friendship spanning 30 years when Shookhoff cast the future Tony nominee in his first Equity acting job playing Tom in a school tour of Tennessee Williams‘ The Glass Menagerie, directed by Shookhoff.

back in the States, busy man st. oswald sporting another set of collapsed collars. “future Tony nominee”? literally (or when did it happen)?
