Mount View Hotel celebrates film’s release
To celebrate this weekend’s release of the film “Bottle Shock,” Calistoga’s Mount View Hotel is holding a contest whose winner will attend premiere festivities Sunday at Chateau Montelena Winery with the film’s stars Bill Pullman, Alan Rickman, Chris Pine, Rachel Taylor and the director Randall Miller. The film recounts Chateau Montelena’s surprise win in the historic 1976 Paris wine tasting.
In addition to two passes to the screening, the winner will also be entitled to dinner for two at the Mount View Hotel’s new restaurant, JoLe.
To enter, drop off a business card at the hotel’s front desk at 1457 Lincoln Ave., or send an e-mail to bottleshocksneakpreview@mountviewhotel.com. The winning name will be announced at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the hotel’s “Wine Tasting in the Backyard” event. The public is invited to the Mount View Hotel’s backyard each Friday through Labor Day for complimentary wine tasting with the managers from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
